Cabinet transfers 28 top officials | Baseer Khan is Div Com Kashmir, Manmohan Singh is JMC Commissioner | |  Early Times Report Jammu, July 28: In a first major reshuffle in civil administration by the Mehbooba Mufti-led PDP-BJP alliance, the government today transferred 28 top officials of the state. The decision to transfer the top officials was taken during the cabinet meeting chaired by the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti here. Sources told Early Times that 28 top officers have been transferred. Baseer Ahmed Khan has been appointed as new Divisional Commissioner Kashmir vice Dr Asgar H Samoon. Manmohan Singh has appointed as new Commissioner Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) in place of Mandeep Kour, who has applied for deputation in Centre. Five DIGs were promoted but no decision was taken on police transfers due to lack of consensus. The Cabinet has also appointed new Managing Director of Housing Board. Dr. Asgar H Samoon has been posted as Transport Commissioner, Tasaduq Jeelani has been posted as Director CA&PD ( Kashmir) and Gazanfar Ali has been posted as Director Rural Development Department Kashmir vise Tasaduq Jeelani. Similarly Mohammad Ashraf Mir is posted as Revenue Commissioner vice Mohammad Afzal who has been posted as Commissioner-Secretary Law department, besides Tariq Zargar has been posted as Dy. Commissioner Kupwara, Arshad Ayoub has been transferred from Home department and posted as Special Secretary to Chief Secretary while Zubair Ahmad has been posted as Special Secretary Home department. Cabinet considered and approved the submission of the Report of the Committee of Experts constituted to study the 'Socio-Economic Status and Common Ethnic Characteristics of Pahari Speaking People in Jammu and Kashmir' to the Union Ministry of Tribal Affairs for grant of ST status to the Pahari Speaking People of Jammu and Kashmir. The Cabinet also accorded sanction to the inclusion of District Srinagar and Kishtwar in the Ladli Beti Scheme of the Social Welfare Department, which was notified in September 2015. The social assistance scheme Ladli Beti was earlier applicable to girl child born in only six identified districts of Anantnag, Pulwama, Budgam, Jammu, Kathua and Samba. The Cabinet also approved renaming of CA&PD department as the Department of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs. The Cabinet accorded sanction to the creation of one post of Deputy Conservator of Forests (Wildlife), Selection Grade in the pay band of Rs 15600-39100+GP of 7600, creation of 04 posts of Deputy Conservator of Forests (Wildlife) in the pay band of Rs 15600-39100+GP of 6600 by corresponding reduction of 5 posts of Assistant Conservator of Forests (Wildlife) in the pay band of Rs 9300-3400+GP of 4800 and re-designating of remaining posts of Assistant Wildlife Warden and equivalent as Assistant Conservator of Forests (Wildlife). |
