Thief held, stolen items recovered | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 28: Gangyal Police today claimed to have solved a theft case with the arrest of one thief and recovery of stolen items including cash. Police spokesman said, "A written complaint was lodged by one Onkar Singh Manager Dairy India Industries Gangyal stating therein that someone has trespassed compound of the factory and has broken the almirah and stolen cash and mobile along with some other articles." "Acting on the compliant a case under FIR 75 u/s 457 and 380 RPC was registered and during investigation one Sunny Raina son of Vinod Krishan Raina of Thokrie, Kishtwar an employee of the said factory was put to thorough questioning on suspicion. "The suspect broke down and confessed his crime that he had stolen money worth Rs one lakh eighty eight thousand and two hundred (Rs188200/-) along with one lava mobile and other articles and the stolen items were recovered on his disclosures. "The instruments used for committing the offence including one screw driver, one wire cutter, one blade were also recovered from the possession of the accused., police sources said Subsequently, the accused was arrested and further investigation is in progress, police said adding, "the catch was made by Inspector Aejaz Wani under the supervision of SP South Shehzad Slaria." |
