CCI discuss concerns of business community

Jammu, July 28: Chamber House today met to discuss various urgent issues, which were cause of serious concern for the business community as well as public at large.
It discussed that during the past few days different civil societies were coming up claiming to be the representatives of people and also trade/ Industrial organizations.
After hearing all the presidents and the secretaries of different trade/ market/industrial / transport associations it was unanimously decided to convey clearly to all that the parent forum and apex body of all the trade/ bazaar/ Industrial / transport associations was Chamber of Commerce & Industry and no one else.
The Chamber cautioned all those claiming as representatives of trade/Industrial bodies to desist from making any such statement in future.
It was also conveyed by the members that Income Tax department is conducting surveys at a time when the state was totally disturbed resulting in total collapse of business and also that the last date for IDS was September 30.
On this occasion members were made aware and cautioned that if any assesse is served with any notice or called by the Income Tax department, he should ensure compliance as more surveys may be done if it a matter of non-compliance.
Those present in the meeting include Sham Lal Langer, Sr. Vice President CCI, Deepak Aggarwal, Jr. Vice President CCI, Rahul Mahajan, Secretary CCI, Ashu Gupta, Treasurer CCI, Lalit Mahajan, Chairman FOI, Ajay Langer, Secretary General FOI. The representatives of various associations present in the meeting include Kanak Mandi Traders Association, Lakhdata Bazar businessmen Association, Rajinder Bazar Businessmen Association, Parade Road Businessmen Association, Narwal Sabzi Mandi Traders Association, Lower Ragunath Bazar Traders Association, Nanak Nagar Businessmen Association, Shalamar Road Businessmen Association, Vir MArg Traders Association, Bus Stand Businessmen Association, Motibazar Businessmen Association, Mangal Market Railway Station Businessmen Association, Jain Bazar Businessmen Association, Purani Mandi Businessmen Association, Parade Motor parts Businessmen Association, Apsara Road Businessmen Association, New Secretariat Road Businessmen Association, Central Basic School Purani Mandi Traders Association, New Hari Market Businessmen Association, Hari Market Businessmen Association, Trikuta Nagar Businessmen Association, Gurudwara Road Traders Association Gandhinagar, Residency Road Businessmen Association, Upper Gumat Businessmen Association, Raghunath BAzar Businessmen Association, Old Hospital Road Businessmen Association, Shiv Market Railway Station Businessmen Association and others.
