VKMI launches "Widow Pension Scheme" on I-Day | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 16: In a function organized today, S.K.Jain president VKMI while speaking on the occasion explained about the launching of Widow Pension Scheme on 70th Independence Day of the country, besides the ongoing activities of VKMI and the activities in pipeline, such as 'Free Denture unit', 'Branch of Homoeopathic Dispensary', 'Adoption of four schools' (Two Govt., one private and one governed by NGO SAWERA) was also explained about. Dr. R.R.Khajuria foun-der of the Manch also spoke on the occasion and stressed upon the need of strictly inculcating moral, ethical, spiritual and yoga values among the society particularly children and youth. He also requested the chief guest to use his good offices for inculcation of moral values in the society by getting inserted as a compulsory subject on morality in the schools, colleges and universities curriculum. Ashok Gupta zonal president VKMI and president and founder of Sarv Utthan Trust while speaking explained about the activities of the Trust and also about the mediation Programme and workshops on different topics organized by the Trust from time to time in collaboration of VKMI. Kavinder Gupta Speaker J&K Legislative Assembly who was the Chief Guest on the occasion launched the widow pension Scheme by distributing the cash relief of Rs 300/- each to nineteen widows. He appreciated the launch of Widow Pension Scheme by the Manch which he said that it is really a big contribution by the Manch for the needy and poor widows. He also said that he is always ready to provide any kind of help which the Manch may require from him for any noble cause/ projects ongoing one or to be taken up. |
