| Mr Ram Madhav, Jammu has not given you power of attorney | | Sky is the limit' | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Aug 16: Not content with the damage the BJP national general secretary and the so-called Sangh Parivar's point man on J&K Ram Madhav at the behest of his bosses at 11 Ashoka Road and Nagpur caused to the nationalists in the state and the nation by drafting and enforcing a highly sinister agenda of alliance, he the other day came out with another nasty formulation, which, if given an effect to, will further drive J&K state away from India.
"The entire country feels and shares the suffering and pain of the people of J&K, especially the Valley…When we say Kashmir is ours, we are not talking about the land alone; it is not just about the geography; it is demography also; it is about people also. Kashmir is ours; means Kashmiris are also ours. Need of the hour is to address the grievances of the agitating people of the Valley. We should assure them that their grievances would be taken care of," he said.
Reflecting on demand of "azadi' being made by Kashmiri Muslim leadership and its followers or paid agents, perverted Ram Madhav said: "Sky is the limit. Within the framework of our Constitution, the people of J&K (in this case Kashmiri Muslims) have every right to demand more and more. The country will never let them down".
Ram Madhav completely overlooked the fact that J&K is already a solitary state in the country which enjoys a separate status within the Union under Article 370 and that no central law can be introduced in the state without the concurrence of the state government. J&K is the only state in the country which enjoys residuary powers.
This Article has already caused a political and constitutional breach between the state and New Delhi and given absolute legislative, executive and financial powers to the Kashmiri ruling elite. But more than that, under this atrocious Article, J&K has its own Constitution and a flag, leave aside the fact that all the Chief Ministers of the state till date have been from Kashmir Valley belonging to a particular religious sect and the fact that the Kashmiri Muslims dominate and swamp all the institutions in the state.
The problem is in Jammu, which is also called the land of refugees (all victims of religious fanaticism), and Ladakh. They have the real and genuine grievances and complaints against New Delhi. The need of the time was to talk about the woes, pain and aspirations of the people of Jammu and Ladakh, but Ram Madhav, who has been unleashed by the Sangh Parivar only talked about those who have been creating problem after problem for the nation and blackmailing and browbeating the Indian state to wrest more and more concessions.
Ram Mashav should understand that neither the people of Jammu province nor the people of Ladakh have given him, or for that matter even to the Modi Government, power of attorney.
They are the masters of their own fate within India. He and others in New Delhi should remember. |
