PM Modi's hard talk sends separatists, their bosses into tizzy | Pak agents change strategy instigate people to come on streets in Kashmir, get killed | | Early Times Report Jammu, Aug 16: As the unrest in Kashmir completed its 39th day today, the separatists once again tried to add fuel to the fire by calling for 72-hour sit-in from Wednesday onwards. In a joint statement Syed Ali Shah Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Yasin Malik asked people to come out their homes on Wednesday and march towards the UN office in Srinagar and if they are stopped on the way they should stage a sit-in then and there only for 72-hours. Police sources claimed that separatists have changed their strategy in order to instigate the people and provoke the security forces to take extreme measures to keep the pot boiling. "Handlers of separatists sitting across the Line of Control and In Pakistan have told them to further pro-long the unrest in Kashmir to corner New Delhi. The statement of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Balochistan and Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) has rattled the politicians and ISI agents in Pakistan." A source said, "Separatists have been asked to do whatever they can do to keep Kashmir burning so that India doesn't shift its focus on PoK or Balochistan. The Prime Minister Modi's warning has created ripples in Pakistan establishment. Separatists in Kashmir calling for 72-hour sit-in protest and instigating people to hit the streets is a pressure tactic at the behest of Pakistan." Its in place to mention here that separatists during the past one month have given numerous chalo calls but these calls have not evoked any response. "By asking people to stage sit-ins on the roads they want to provoke the security forces to shoot to kill so that they would get an excuse to pro-long the unrest in the Valley and extend the shutdown calls,' said a source. He said, "Intelligence agencies have gathered enough inputs about Pakistan fanning the unrest in Kashmir but Prime Minister Narendra Modi taking a tough stand and warning Pakistan of possible retaliation has send the handlers of separatists in Kashmir into tizzy. They know it very well that if India decides to support the freedom movement of Balochistan and provides a chance to people of PoK to stand on their own feet Pakistan would be in soup." An analyst said, "The Indian leadership had forgotten the issue of PoK for the past 22-years and it had emboldened the neighbouring country. The present regime taking a bold stand on PoK has turned the tables on the people who have been fomenting trouble in Kashmir through their paid agents like Geelani, Mirwaiz, Malik and others." He said, "Situation in Kashmir may deteriorate further but the GoI should remain firm on its stand and crush these separatists and their handlers once for all." |
