NC assails PDP-BJP dispensation for failing on all fronts | | | Early Times Report Jammu Aug 24: National Conference today assailed PDP-BJP dispensation for failing on all fronts and putting the people, especially those living in far off areas, in lot of miseries in the absence of basic minimum necessities like power and drinking water during the ongoing scorch monsoon season. "The situation has further worsened with flash floods and incessant rains putting the lives of the people in risk", State Secretary Th Rachpal Singh said while addressing a meeting of senior party functionaries at Sher-e-Kashmir Bhavan this afternoon. Th Rachpal Singh made a mention of the problems confronted to the people of Poonch and Rajouri districts, saying that developmental inertia apart, the utility services are in a very dilapidated conditions with administration remaining mute due to lack of political direction. Speaking on the occasion, Provincial Youth National Conference President Ajaz Jan said the people of these two districts are clueless whom to approach, as the political establishment seems to have gone on a long leave. He said the people were realising now of supporting a combination which are inexperienced and naïve that has impacted the overall functioning of the administration. The Provincial Youth National Conference President said that with alliance partners having abandoned their duties towards the people, the administration must come forward and help the residents out of the mess created by insensitive PDP-BJP Government. The National Conference leaders also expressed anguish over loss of life in Kashmir, saying that there was immediate need of stopping the use of pelt guns. Provincial Secretary Pradeep Bali and Co-Chairperson OBC Cell Abdul Gani Teli also spoke in the meeting and highlighted various problems faced by the people. |
