New posting places of Govt officers not updated | GAD website carries outdated Info | | Ishtiyaq Ahmad
Early Times Report Srinagar, Aug 24: Official website of the state government, maintained by the General Administration Department (GAD), is catering outdated information related to the posting of senior government officers. According to the "telephone directory" section of the General Administration Department, Baseer Ahmad Khan is still secretary cooperative department. However, the officer was transferred as the Divisional commissioner Kashmir in the month of July. Vinod Koul who was also transferred in the month of July as chairman, J&K special Tribunal, is still shown as Commissioner Secretary Animal/ Sheep Husbandry and Science technology department. Mohmmad Afzal Bhat was transferred and posted as commissioner secretary floriculture department; however, the GAD website still shows Afzal listed as the commissioner secretary relief and rehabilitation. R. K Bhagat was posted as secretary animal and sheep department during a cabinet meeting in July, while Hemant Kumar was posted in secretary cooperatives department. However Bhagat continues to be listed as the secretary transport and Hemant as the secretary higher education department. There are other IAS officers who have been transferred but are shown at the previous places of posting. Sources said that mocking at the achievements of the government in the IT sector, the GAD website was not updated since 19 August. Meanwhile sources said that official websites of districts also carry outdated information and are not being regularly updated. The website of district Kupwara, Baramulla, Islamabad hasn't been updated for long. The J&K Cooperatives website has not also been updated for long. The official website of the Directorate of School Education Kashmir dsek.nic.in-carries notifications of 08. 07. 2016 regarding the posting of I/C head masters while rest of the data hasn't been updated since then. People complain that from last two months, the situation is same with almost all other websites-Health, Higher Education, Forests, Finance and others. While some selective orders are regularly uploaded by some departments, the other information happens to be outdated or is concealed. Early Times has been receiving complaints that the e-mail IDs of Kashmir Administrative and Indian Administrative Officers are not working and most of them are deactivated. The General Administration Department website carries email IDs of all of them. The government spends millions of rupees annually on the employees' salaries, infrastructure and maintenance of the National Informatics Centres in different districts. |
