Induction programme held at YCET | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Aug 24: An Induction Session for the students of BE Batch-2016 was conducted here at Yogananda College of Engineering & Technology (YCET) today. Er. Vidhi S. Singh, Chairman, Jamwal Group of Educational Institutions (JGEI) was the Chief Guest whereas Er. P.K. Nanda was the resource person on the occasion. The aim of the event was to get the fresher well acquainted with the rich cultural legacy of JGEI, state of the art facilities available in the College, Professional opportunities and various platforms which shall help these budding engineers to emerge as competent professionals and technocrats who can prove asset to the whole world in general and our country India in particular. It also served the purpose of early socialization and helped them in creating a sense of responsibility and institutional belongings. Er. B.R. Verma, Chief Coordinator, YCET in his welcome address highlighted the significance of engineering disciplines and their relevance in the contemporary times which provides an ocean of opportunities to students for learning and professional growth. Er. P.K. Nanda, former Executive Engineer and presently Consultant GVR Infra project, a Hyderabad based company looks after an artificial lake project stressed on filling the technology space through Innovation. He emphasized on 10-powerful words which every individual should follow to achieve the goal. He said YCET has outstanding infrastructural facilities and qualified faculty and complements the efforts of the management to deliver the best. |
