Early Times Report

Kathua, Aug 24: Renovation and construction of both fish pond, Police family Qtrs road via Sports stadium are being demanded by people of Ramnagar locality ward no. 17 Kathua. Sumit & Arjun, locals said," Despite of having mandatory road as fish pond, police lines, police family quarters, stadium situated merely 200 mtrs away to the residences of both SSP and DDC Kathua, nobody pays attention to construct the road wherein water gets collected resulting hard to drive vehicles besides walk." Madan & Rakesh Kumar said that both the road were being used by hundreds of inhabitants including movement of school/police vehicles in miserable condition that filled with pits and damaged drainage system. They added that many choppers of VVIPs used to land and they moved on vehicles through this road but it was difficult to understand why did district administration, PWD and concerned MLA don’t construct the road. Satya Bhushan Sharma, an architect informed that deputation from Ram Nagar called on previous MLA Kathua, DDCs and concerned officials of PWD but nothing had been done than merely assurance. He said that approx 100 houses fell on this locality falling under municipal council but government that made tall claims of development in entire district failed at this locality. Sharma demanded that the road must be constructed at priority basis and appealed MLA Kathua Rajeev Jasrotia to pay personal visit and realize the sufferings of people who live merely 200 mtrs away to his Public Grievances office.
