Black topping of Mandi Plera road demanded 8/24/2016 10:38:26 PM Early Times Report Mandi, Aug 23: People of Plera village held a massive protest against district administration Poonch demands of black topping on Mandi Loran road from Mandi to Plera. According to the local report, about four kilometres road bas been ignored by the Public Work Department (PWD) which stretches between Loran to Plera. Sarpanch panchayat Plera Wali Mohammad Khan alongwith Jameel Ahmed, Ajaz Ahmed Tantray, Yar Mohammad, Javed Ahmed and Mushtaq Ahmed led the protest and demanded early black topping of the said road. They said that condition of the road is miserable and they had earlier approached the District Administration and concerned department many times seeking repair and black topping of the road but nothing was done in this regard. They also alleged that two former MLAs too have failed to redress their long pending issue in regard with due better connectivity which is lying pending since last 10 years. They added that some local youths have even bought Auto rickshaws through bank loans but they turn defaulters as they fail to run their vehicles regularly which often develop technical snags and demand repairs due to bad road conditions. Chairman Insaaf Movement Javid Iqbal Reshi also joined in the protest and later telephonically requested Deputy Commissioner Poonch Muhammad Haroon Malik to redress the pending demands of the public. The protesters were assured by DC Poonch to consider their demand sympathetically.
