Clever tactics delay appointment of Director DDE | Two members of screening committee ineligible | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 25: The height of alleged nonsense in the University of Jammu can easily be gauged from the fact that two members of the screening committee constituted for the appointment of Director for Directorate of Distance Education (DDE) are ineligible and allegedly delaying the process . Sources in the Jammu University alleged that two ineligible members were deliberately included in the screening committee constituted by the Vice Chancellor of University of Jammu for the appointment of Director (DDE) as the VC was more willing to have rotational Directorship in DDE from within the faculty members instead of direct appointment. Sources alleged that earlier, VC Jammu University, Prof R. D Sharma setting aside the decisions of University Council and Syndicate appointed Prof Dhian Singh Bhau as Director DDE dishonoring the decisions both of University Council and Syndicate. . Advertisement for the appointment of Director for Directorate of Distance Education was issued last year and the Vice Chancellor knowing the fact that an ineligible was tactfully posted as Director of the Distance Education just for delaying the appointment of the new Director. A highly placed source in the University of Jammu pleading anonymity alleged that just to delay the process for the appointment of the Director for Directorate of Distance Education, the VC deliberately constituted 3- member committee for screening of Director for Directorate of Distance Education comprising of two ineligible members "Couple of month on, the screening committee is still sleeping over its function and there seems that the University Authority is reluctant to go in for the appointment of a permanent Director for Directorate of Distance Education ostensibly to carry on its agenda of accommodating blue-eyed. |
