Anantnag, Aug 25: Hizb-ul-Mujahideen posters warning police personnel of dire consequences for carrying nocturnal raids Thursday appeared in several localities of Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti's hometown Bijbehara. Posters carrying seal and signature of Hizb district Commander Aamir Ahmad Wagay alias Abu Qasim, were found pasted on electric poles and shops, residential buildings in various areas of Bijbehara- which is on the edge since Hizb commander Burhan Wani's killing. "All those working in police department are warned to stop carrying out nocturnal raids otherwise stringent action will be taken against them," reads the poster. Poster also asked people to foil nocturnal raids with united face. "Whenever police tries to enter into your area with intention to arrest youngsters, show complete unity and foil their all such attempts," Hizb poster asks people of the town. Hizb commander also asked people to live their lives according to Islamic Sharia and offer Friday prayers jointly in Jamia Masjid Bijbehara. Moreover, the posters appeals people to strictly follow the program of Hizb-ul-Mujahedeen, however the poster doesn't make clear whether Hizb-ul-Mujahedeen is referring to shutdown program of Hurriyat Conference that has been extended till August 30. Earlier, Hizb commander Aamir Wagay had threatened many pro-Indian politicians including the close family members of Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti, following which many of them have moved to Jammu. Pertinent to mention here, Aamir Wagay has appeared in many rallies organized by Tehreek-e-Hurriyat and Itehad-e-Milat. He was caught on camera while addressing a rally in Arwani area of Bijbehara earlier this month. Taking advantage of unrest, Aamir along with his two other associates has travelled to many villages in Bijbehara and Pahalgam and appeared in rallies. Video showing him and his two associates holding AK-47 riles in a car, roaming along with dozens of vehicles has already gone viral on social media. |
