To shift courts to DC office complex, sr AAG asked to file compliance report in 3 weeks | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Aug 30: In a PIL, seeking handing over of the entire office complex of deputy commissioner, Kishtwar, for the use of district courts, a high court division bench of first puisne judge, Justice Ramalingam Sudhakar and Justice B S Walia today allowed three weeks time to the senior AAG to file the compliance report. The senior AAG submitted that 80 pc of the stock in the existing revenue building had been shifted to the new building and the balance 20 pc would be moved within a week. Thereafter, handing over of the revenue building for the use of judicial department would be done, for which, formal orders would be passed by the Revenue Department in consultation with the high Court Registrar General. Earlier, the counsels for Kishtwar Bar Association drew the attention of the division bench towards the detailed order passed by the bench on May 27, 2016 whereby it had directed that on shifting of DC office complex to new building, it would be ensured that the old complex was not used for any other purpose except for providing space to judiciary and orders in this regard would be issued by the competent authority in consultation with the high court registrar general. They also submitted that no fresh status report had been filed by government even as the offices of Deputy Commissioner, Additional DC and Assistant Commissioner (Revenue) had already been shifted to the new mini-secretariat, Kishtwar. |
