Jammu, Aug 30: In PIL filed by Welfare Association of Share Holders of Sheen Finance and Investment (India), Sheen Agro Plantation Ltd and Sheen Road Links Ltd, a high court division bench of first puisine judge, Justice Ramalingam Sudhakar and Justice B S Walia today directed the state DGP to designate an appropriate officer to proceed with the investigation.
The bench observed that in terms of the earlier order, a report had been filed by the SSP, Jammu, indicating steps taken and difficulty in proceeding with the investigation.
The respondents' counsel submitted that SSP, Jammu, and IO were unable to proceed in the matter as SSP, crime branch, was also investigating the matter. As the matter was being probed by the two agencies, there was a difficulty in dealing with the issue, he said. After hearing the two sides, the bench directed DGP to look into the issue and designate an appropriate officer to proceed with the investigation. The bench also directed him to submit the action taken report on next date of hearing. |
