All India State Govt Employees Federation to go on nationwide strike on Sept 2 | | | Early Times Report Jammu Aug 30: Trade Union Organizations of Govt, and Semi-Govt. departments expressed its serious concern over the on-going Neo- liberal economic and anti-worker anti- people and pro corporate policies of central Govt, which has led to uncontrolled price rise, huge unemployment, loss of jobs, attack on social security system like pension, massive outsourcing and contractorisation of permanent nature of job and disinvestment in central and state public sector Units. This was stated in a press conference today under the leadership of Babu Hussain Malik, President, EAC(R ] and Mohd Maqbool, President JKCCT(U) It was explained that unilateral implementation of 7th, pay commission report after ignoring the suggestions and agitations of Central and State Govt employees had caused widespread resentment among the Govt employees both at Central and State level. Moreover the state government employees should be given all the benefits as par with the Central Government employees in the 7th Pay Commission. The State Govt has also failed to redress the burning issues of pay anomaly of clerical staff despite the decision of the High Court. Besides lack of firm wage and regularization policies of all temporary workers has added fuel to the fire. The Employees Organizations in a series of meetings in the recent days held at Jammu condemned disastrous policies of central and state govt and endorsed the call of Central Trade Unions and Employees Federations especially by the All India State Govt. Employees Federation (AISGEF) to go for a nation/wide Strike on 2nd, September on 12 point charter of demands . These organisations have also decided to hold huge joint protest rally at Nirman Bhawan near Panama Chowk Jammu at 10.00 A.M on 2nd,September They called upon all the employees and workers of the State to endorse the call of nationwide strike and hold demonstrations and rallies in all District/Tehsil Head Quarters throughout the State on 2nd, September and highlight their demands. |
