Mendhar, Aug 30: The people of the tehsil Mendhar have raised their concern over mismanagement of traffic in both the towns resulting in frequent traffic jams which in turn has become a source of nuisance for the locals.
A group of businessmen said people are facing lot of inconvenience due to traffic congestion in and around bus stand. "Flow of traffic at Mendhar bus stand and main bazaar is increasing day by day but the tehsil administration has so far failed in providing relief to the people from this menace", they said and added that due to non-availability of an alternative route, bad conditions of roads, increasing traffic is adding to the miseries of the masses.
" Even police have failed in properly managing the traffic which results in long irritating jams on day to day basis" locals said and added that huge rush of buses and tata Sumos is adding to the mess as there is no proper parking place for them available in the town."
Few cops deployed in the area hardly bother to manage the traffic and as a result large number of vehicles is parked haphazardly which results in long jams. Locals alleged that it is difficult to pass through the bus stand area during day time because of unmanageable traffic. |
