Dr. Vikas Sharma conferred with 'Best Indian Personality Award' 8/30/2016 11:44:03 PM Early Times Report New Delhi, Aug 30: Dr. Vikas Sharma, Assistant Professor in the Division of Biochemistry, Faculty of Basic Sciences, SKUAST- Jammu was conferred with Bharat Excellence Award for his outstanding / extraordinary achievements and attaining greater excellence in his chosen field of work. Besides this prestigious award, Dr. Sharma was also presented the coveted Best Personalities of India Award for services rendered by him for social cause and to promote greater friendship / cooperation in the service of countrymen. Both the awards contain a Gold Medal, Certificate of Excellence, Certificate of Felicitation along with a momento. The award was presented to Dr. Sharma at National Conference on Economic Growth and National Unity held yesterday at India International Centre, New Delhi, which was attended by more than 200 delegates from all the States of India. Dr. Vikas Sharma was the only candidate from Jammu and Kashmir. This National Event was organized by FFI, a well known Delhi based social /voluntary organization working for the past many years in the service of nation. Working as, Dr. Sharma has reported many local botanicals for their anticancer efficiency and recommended that people of Jammu should encourage the consumption of these natural products in their daily meals so as to avoid the risk of cancer. Dr. Sharma has 10 years experience of teaching and research.
