Involve youth in national construction instead of raising anti-national slogans: Pawar | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Aug 30: Indu Pawar President Pardesh Mahila Congress and District President Veena Kumari organized a meeting of it workers at Uttri Barwal Distt. Kathua in which large number of women wing party activists participated. Speaking on the occasion, Pawar in her address to the workers stressed for keep on such meetings at Block & Village level to ascertain & solve the problems being faced by public. "Our state is passing through a very difficult phase and some practical measures at ground level have to be undertaken to calm the situation, she said while underlining that our youth ought to be involved in national construction instead of getting indulged in raising antinational slogans and processions. "Youths are our assets and their engagement in nation building is very important, Pawar added. "Women (Mahilas) have also a very essential role we should keep meeting and bring the issues of public in the notice of authorities and they shall follow the same till it is resolved, Congress leader added. Pawar said that Congress has always stood with the common people and involved with grass root workers. "Congress stands for development of all and maintenance of secularism and peace in the country, she said. Other speakers said that BJP secured votes with big promises but after election BJP has forgotten all promises as the NDA Govt yet has not been able to control prices of essential articles of food and daily usage which is affecting common man's life. Block President Neelam Kumari (Mudapper), Mustaq Begum (Kathua), Sureshta (Barnoti), Sushma (Hiranagar) and Jyoti also addressed the meeting. |
