Two teachers arrested for outraging modesty of colleague in Billawar | | | Arun Trisal

Billawar, Aug 31: In a shocking case two teachers of Government school were arrested for allegedly outraging the modesty of a colleague in Billawar of Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir. "The accused have been identified as Ramneek Basotra presently posted as headmaster at Govt Middle School Moar Bhatodi and Krishan Chand presently posted as teacher in Govt High School Sadrota, police said , According to police, the victim (name withheld) who also is posted as a teacher in Government Middle School Moar Bhatodi of tehsil Billawar in Kathua district lodged a complaint with the police that on August 23, her colleagues with common criminal intentions outraged her modesty in the far flung area in the jurisdiction of Police Station Billawar. Police said, "Shattered victim after recollecting herself narrated the incident to her husband who encouraged her to get the matter reported to the police to seek justice," police said, adding, "following written complaint from victim a case under sections 354, 452 of RPC was registered accordingly." Police said, "Acting promptly police conducted the raids and both the accused Ramneek Basotra and Krishan Chand were arrested." Police said that further investigations in the matter are on. Meanwhile locals have appreciated the bold step taken by the victim who has shown utmost courage to get the culprits booked for the Criminal Act. |
