Mob attacks colony at Kupwara 9/1/2016 12:01:11 AM S Tahir-ul Haq Early Times Report Kupwara, Aug 31: An unruly mob on Wednesday attacked some quarters in Nutnoosa village of Kupwara. According to sources, people who were protesting against law enforcing agencies tried to put the colony on fire. "Some protesters allegedly went inside the quarters and broke furniture besides causing damage to other household items. They also allegedly tried to put some quarters on fire. " At least Six quarters were damaged in the attack," said sources.Law enforcing agencies reached the spot forcing the protestors to disperse. A senior police official said the protesters had only broken the windowpanes of these quarters. "Yes, an unruly mob tried a lot to put these quarters on fire but we stopped them," the official said.
