All-party delegates briefed to counter separatists view point | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 31: The members of the all party delegation, scheduled to visit Kashmir from Sept 4, is to be briefed about the complicity of the Pakistan and also the damage to the social fabric of the Kashmir by extreme radicalization of the society. According to the sources, the members will be briefed to understand clearly the extent of the complexities in the Kashmir and also how the exclusive approach there has developed into 'hate-India' feeling based primarly on the religious background. "The objective of the briefing to the all members of the delegation is that they understand how radicalistion and the copmplicity of the Paksitan had brought the situation where it is now and how the previous government had not done anything to check. The objective is not to embarrass the earlier government but to make the delegates aware of the realities so that they can have good backgrounder before meeting the delegations," said the official. According to the sources, though the separatists may not meet the delegation, as it has not sent any proposals, but many organisations and groups, which have the tacit support of separatists will do meet and they will present a picture of victimhood and 'excesses' by the security forces. "We know how these over ground supporters of the separatists works and how they try to convince the delegates that how India as a great democracy is killing its own people in undemocratic manner and how there is desperate need to find a solution to the Kashmir problem as per the wishes of the people. It's for this reason that the brief to the delegates will come handy in cross checking and cross-questioning them," said the official. Sources said in the past many delegates had been presented such a picture of the Kashmir that they try to question the stand of the India on the Kashmir, and this will not happen this time after the briefing by top officials of the government. |
