Early Times Report

Kishtwar, Sept 10: The police has decided to act tough against the government employees who are participating in anti-India protests in Kishtwar.
On Saturday, DSP Headquarter Kishtwar Touseef Rishu summoned various employees at police station Kishtwar whose names surfaced during an investigation carried out by various agencies probing role of employees in stoking unrest in Kishtwar in wake of the killing of Hizb commander Burhan Wani in an encounter with security forces in Anantnag.
As per the details available with Early Times and inputs given by the police sources, Dy. SP HQ Kishtwar after summoning the employees grilled them over their presence in anti-India and pro-freedom protests and issued strict warning to them.
He asked these employees to remain available as and when they will be summoned by the police for further investigation. He also asked them to keep themselves away from anti-national and pro-freedom rallies and instead concentrate on doing public work by remaining present on duty. He also told them that their activities are being monitored and warned of strict action against all those employees who will take part in any unlawful activities.
However no employee was arrested by the police when last report came in.
Kishtwar police, according to sources, had identified over 50 government employees who are participating in anti-India protests. Police is scrutinizing more video footages to identify the troublemakers including the persons who are holding government jobs.
Meanwhile many employees while talking to Early Times denied that they have raised any slogans. They said that even some employees who pass through the areas where protests took place were named in the list of accused and are being summoned by the police. They urged upon DC Kishtwar to look into the matter and give chance to the employees to defend themselves before initiating any action against the employees.
