JAMMU, Sept 10: Fed up with his arbitrary style of working and browbeating almost everyone in the office for being a minister's relative, a senior police officer has clipped the wings of a Sub-Inspector.
Using the minister's influence, the SI had been doing his office work on his own terms and conditions, at times annoying his seniors, police sources said.
He had been holding the independent charge of a post here for the past some time, but to clip his wings and reduce the level of freedom he enjoyed, a senior officer had now posted his deputy, an ASI, in his office, police sources said.
"The ASI will now be doing all the works which the minister's relative had been doing earlier. This way, the officer has clipped his wings," the sources added.
Sources said the officer, who was posted in the office some time back, decided to teach him a lesson after the SI started 'intimidating' him too in the name of the minister. The officer's predecessor was under his influence as he had assured him to manage a good posting for him with the minister's help, sources informed.
The officer had also got vacated a room, which adjoined the SI's office and had been under his forcible occupation, sources said and added that he had also been directed to report to the officer on daily basis. |
