| GDC Bhaderwah organizes poster making competition | | |  Early Times Report
BHADERWAH, Sep 10: To bring about awareness on environmental pollution department of Zoology Government Degree College Bhaderwah today organized first college level Poster Making Competition on Environmental Pollution . Prof Z A Hashmi Principal of the college was the Chief Guest on the occasion where as Prof Mansa Ram , Prof Bal Krishan , Prof Sanjana Devi , Prof Niranjana Devi , Prof Bashrat Iqbal and other were also present on the occasion . The competition started with lighting of lamp by the chief guest and other dignitaries. All students of the school took part in the poster-making contest. Some painted a crying tree, others a weeping Taj Mahal and still others painted smoke emanating from a chemical factory. Slogans like 'Grow tree, get fresh air free' and 'Save mother nature who takes care of lives' on the posters, made them even more catchy. There were charts showing the rate of increase of pollution as also causes and ways to combat this menace. Speaking on the occasion Prof Zaheer Abass Hashmi threw light on the causes and prevention of different kinds of pollution in the environment. |
