Distt Officials conduct marketing check | | | Early Times Report
Kishtwar Sept 10: On the directions of Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Ghulam Nabi Balwan, Tehsildar Kishtwar Irshad Ahmed Butt along with officials of Municipal Committee Kishtwar, CA&PD and police today carried out surprise market checking in Kishtwar town and its adjoining areas and booked erring traders. Following the complaints about over charging and selling unhealthy food stuff, the district authorities conducted extensive market checking for several hours. Official said, "A team headed by Tehsildar Kishtwar released a fine of Rs 13200/- from the violators and issued warning to many businessmen not to sell unhygienic food items, beside directed them to charge genuine rates from the people at the time when holly festival of Eid ul Azha. Here it needs to mention that District administration Kishtwar has fixed various venues in the Kishtwar town and its vicinity for the sale of Sheep and goats for Qurbani (Scarification) purpose. Administration through officials of Municipal Committee Kishtwar also made announcements in this regard to make people aware about its decision and asked traders to display the rate lists of sellable commodities. |
