Fine Rs 7600 realised from erring traders

Ramban, Sept 10: In wake of upcoming festival of Eid-ul-Azha, on the directions of District Development Commissioner, Ramban Mohammad Aijaz officers conducted market checking at Ramban, Banihal and Batote and realised Rs 7600 from erring traders.
A joint team lead by Tehsildar Ramban, Gurpreet Singh comprising EO (MC) Ramban, Zubaida Parveen and TSO Ramban carried out a surprise checking in the Cafeteria Market, Bus stand, Main bazaar, Upper bazaar, Masjid market and Bouli bazaar. During the inspection, Rs. 2100 was realised as fine from defaulters by checking squad besides seizing 4 kg banned polythene carry bags from the shopkeepers. They also destroyed 50 kg spoilage vegetables and 10 kg sweets.
According to Tehsildar Batote, Srinath Suman during the checking Rs 3000 was realised from 28 erring traders of Batote. In the meantime 200 kg spoilage vegetables and fruits were destroyed.
Similarly Tehsildar Banihal fined Rupees 2500 to shopkeepers and 200kg spoilage vegetables and fruits destroyed on the spot during the market checking.
