Don’t play politics over human blood; Prof Gupta to politicians | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 10: The Former Union Minister, Prof. Chaman Lal Gupta has asked politicians not to play politics over human blood and stressed for having some respect for moral values in public life. According to press release, Prof. Gupta recalled some of the secessionists, who are ranting for Azadi to mislead the younger generation, were under oath of the Constitution and are still drawing benefits including pensioners and even treatment abroad as being former legislatures of the State, which is an irrevocable part of India. Syeed Ali Shah Geelani, leader of separatist Hurriyat Conference, was three terms member of the State Assembly as such he had taken oath of the constitution at least half dozen times. As such still drawing all the amenities. Prof. Gupta said that preaching of secession is sedition but it becomes all the more heinous to act against the oath. And above all to glorify the cross border terror and patronize the violence leading to bloodshed, destruction and forced migration of lakhs of people from their homes and hearths in the value of Kashmir who have become refugees within their own country. He stressed upon all the mainstream politicians to play their positive role in restoring normalcy in the troubled Kashmir and guide the misled youths & others to think in a cool manner that violence would not lead them nowhere as has been there in the past too. Prof. Gupta said that the real problem in Kashmir is the aggressive designs of the unscrupulous neighbourer which is outcome of bigotry. |
