Two narco- peddlers held with 6.2 gms Heroin | | | Early Times Report
Kathua, Sept 10: In its continuous drive against drug and narcotics peddlers, the Kathua police today claimed to have arrested two persons and recovered approximately 6.2gms of heroin which was recovered from their possession during a naka under jurisdiction of Nagri Police Station. "The accused have been identified as Kuldeep Kumar alias Reenu s/o Rasal Ram Sahnsi r/o Chack Drab Khan Nagri Kathua and Kuldeep Sharma alias Sonu s/o Gurupayara Sharma r/o W-1 PWD Colony Kathua, police spokesperson said. Police said, "Following a specific input from reliable sources, the police party of Police Post Nagri under the jurisdiction of PS Kathua spotted two above mentioned suspects during patrolling in an abandoned ETT College near Chak Drab Khan in Nagri area of Kathua." Police said that during their personnel search Police recovered 3.4 gms & 2.8 gms of Heroin from the possession of Reenu and Sonu respectively. "The duo was arrested on the spot and contraband was seized," spokesperson said Accordingly a case under FIR No 370/16 u/s 8/21/22/NDPS stands registered at Police Station Kathua. Police spokesperson said the anti drug operation was conducted under the supervision of Dy SP Headquarters Kathua Ajay Sharma and overall supervision of SSP Kathua Ms Neeva Jain. |
