| SVO seizes records from Provincial Ayurvedic Drug Store | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 10: In continuation to yesterday's surprise check of State Vigilance Organization (SVO) in Districts of Jammu, Samba and Kathua for procuring spurious / sub-standard Ayurvedic/ Unani drugs, sleuths of Vigilance Organization today visited the Provincial Drug Store in Jammu and lifted some official records for further verification. Sources in the vigilance organization said that copies of all the records were lifted for further scrutiny and verification of the drug procurement and supplies.
It may be mentioned that Central Store, Indira Chowk, Jammu, was found locked despite prior intimation and thus the store was been sealed through the Magistrate Ist Class for ascertaining the facts on re-opening of the same tomorrow by the Investigating Agency
"The sleuths from vigilance today visited the Central/Provincial Store vide due permission, sources said, adding, "the records pertaining supplies were lifted for further scrutiny and verification of the drug procurement and supplies.
Sources said, "Most of the drugs, especially some having trade name Prostratefort, natural herbal supplement and KaishoreGuggul are said to be infested with fungus and are not fit for the human consumption while the records were not kept in proper way and termites have eaten away most of old records pertaining to medicine supplies. |
