Udhampur, Sept 11: Government launched schemes for the constructions and maintenance of the dilapidated roads in rural areas are not being implemented properly as most roads in Udhampur district are in dangerously deplorable condition, while the government agencies concerned are in deep slumber.
Jaganoo to Tanal road in distt Udhampur is in highly dilapidated condition and is threatening lives of the commuters using this poad.. Some locals of the area Sohan Lal , Rajinder Kumar Sham Lal , Arun, raj kumar including some ladies of the Jonu , Barta , Tanal area told Early Times that the condition of the road is so bad that it is difficult to even walk on it. They also said that despite repeated complaints, the PWD has failed to maintain the dilapidated road . When contacted, XEn PWD Rajesh Gupta and said that no funds were available for the maintenance of Jaganoo to Tanal road work shall be taken up only after the funds were received. |
