Kishtwar police grills employees involved in anti India rant | Surrendered militants under scanner too | | Asif Iqbal Naik

Kishtwar, Sept 11: Following directions of the Chief Secretary and Director General of Police to act tough against the employees involved in anti India protest and also against the miscreants who wants to vitiate peaceful atmosphere in the District, Kishtwar police summoned more employees whose names had surfaced during the investigation carried out by various agencies and grilled them over their alleged role in fuming trouble during anti national protest in Kishtwar. As per the sources, after chairing peace meeting at Kishtwar, Chief Secretary B R Sharma along with Principal Secretary Home R K Goyal, DG K Rajindra Kumar, DG Law and Order Dr. S P Vaid held a meeting with police and administration at Helipad Kishtwar and directed them to act tough against the culprits including the government employees and the separatist leaders who were involved in anti national activities or were the part of protests that took place in the District. The officers also laid stress for better coordination between various security agencies The sources said that Chief Secretary took strong note of non compliance of newly posted Assistant Commissioner Revenue Kishtwar and asked the Divisional Commissioner Jammu to take stern action against the erring officer. Highly placed sources informed the "Early Times" that the officer has reportedly been asked to join his new place of posting by Monday. The Chief Secretary according to sources has taken serious note of involvement of a senior administrative officer in fuming and abetting unrest in Kishtwar District after the issue was raised by the people during peace meeting who demanded stern action against the said officer. Meanwhile team of officials comprises of Dy. SP HQ Kishtwar Touseef Rishu and SHO Police Station Kishtwar Sameer Jeelani questioned the employees who were summoned by the police. The sources said that police is preparing full biodata of these employees who had violated the service conduct rules along with their background for further submission to the government for carrying out necessary action as warranted under law. As per report, no employee has been arrested so far by the police and has been directed to attend police station as and when asked. The sources said that police is also mulling to grill the ex/surrendered militants after the name of few surrendered/released militants surfaced during the investigation. The sources said that Kishtwar police is preparing the list of such persons and is likely to summon them any time. Name of few surrendered militants also featured in the FIRs registered by the Kishtwar police. |
