NSF castigates CoE JU for delaying re-evaluation results | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 27: The National Secular Forums' City unit led by its President today held massive protest demonstration against the University of Jammu authorities and alleged JU administration for non-serious approach towards the future of students as the authorities failed to declare result for re-evaluation of B. A. Part II. In order to show anger and great resentment against Controller of Examination, Sanjeev Mahajan for his utter failure to exercise full control on the functioning of the examination wing as Controller, the protestors today gheraoed the Controller of Examination for considerable duration. They criticized the Vice Chancellor of the University Prof. Ramji Dass Sharma for putting his henchman and the most junior person on an important position who has spoiled the whole examination wing putting the academic career of the students in jeopardy for none of their fault. They warned the COE to mend his style of working and streamline the functioning of examination wing without further loss of time as the University authority has totally failed to rein in on him (COE) because of unknown reasons. While addressing on the occasion Vinay Charak NSF President MAM College said that the annual examinations for Bi-annual examinations are approaching but the result for re-evaluation of B.A. Part II examinations was yet not declared by the University authorities. "It speaks volumes the level of irresponsible attitude of the authorities towards the future of Students," he said. It was pointed out during protest that the university has adopted an attitude of torturing the students who fill in their forms for appearing in the examination depositing full fee covering all the components including envelopes and postage charges, but the students are made to shuttle between university and their houses for getting roll numbers slips wasting their precious time of studies which is totally unjustified and an act of avoidable harassment to the students. |
