| JKAVP condemns present reservation system | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 4: Jammu Kashmir Aarakshan Virodhi Party held its meeting at Roop Nagar Jammu under the chairmanship of Ram pal Seth President of the party. In the meeting a threadbare discussion was held on the existing provisions of the reservation. Seth while expressing his views strongly condemned the present system as under this benefits of reservation are being availed by the affluent section of the society in the name of equality and social justice. Seth demanded that benefits of reservation be extended to the poor of all castes by abolishing existing system of reservation.
As per press release, Seth said that the reservation was a temporary arrangement for initial ten years for the upliftment of of this down trodden sections. He said that it is unfortunate that the same has been extended till to date which has been creating ill-will among different castes and is a threat to the national unity. Madan Lal Narad general Secretary of Aarakshan Virodhi Party strongly condemned the ugly scene created by in a rally at Samba few days back. Some political groups and individuals who want to continue the reservation which benefits them at the cost of poor they sometimes deliver provocative and abusive lectures to disturb national unity and harmony. |
