People express concern over facilities in migrants' camps
After surgical strikes

Kathua, Oct 4: A large number of people hailing from villages Chann Lal Din and Binayari have been shifted to migrant camps arranged by district administration for people hailing along International Border. Administrtaion claims for providing requisite facilities in the camp but people expressed resentment against sub-standard facilities being provided.
ET team rushed to few camps and noticed that people themselves prepared their food, insufficient accommodation , shortage of drinking water, medical facility and toilets add their sufferings.
Sohan Lal, SDM Hiranagar informed that 22 camps with requisite facilities, transport facility and another basic facility have been arranged if any tensed situation is occurred along IB. He added that remaining people would also shifted in safer place.
Ravi Kumar, Anita Devi and Ajay Kumar all inmates of camp expressed resentment over arrangements being provided in the camps and said," they are living miserable condition and facing ignorance of the administration " They demanded apposite facilities especially requisite accommodation, water and toilet facilities in the camps.
Babu Ram sarpanch enthusiastically said," We are not bothered about their sufferings but Indian government should attack on Pakistan which is ultimate solution to control on cross border firings and militants' attack in entire J&K ." He said, " Border people are fed up to frequent Ceasefire violation and demanded permanent solution which is only possible if Indian army attacks on Pakistan'.
Jatinder Singh Tehsildhar Marheen informed that few people havealready been shifted and adjusted in camps wherein appropriate facility is being given. He said tehsil and district administration are ready for any tough situation along IB. He added that all other remaining people would also be shifted within hours to safe camps.
While having report about non-compliance of Government order to leave the area falling 10 km to International border, ET team rushed on village Rathua, Hiranagar sector at Zero line of International border during mid night and noticed that victimized to false claims of Union government for 5 marlas plot to each family in safer place, Hundreds of people stay under the shadow of terror during tensed situation along IB, have refused to leave village.
Pertinently, Bharatiya Janta Party especially Narendra Modi, BJP Star campaigner, made tall claims of development including allotment of 5 marlas plot at safer places to each family living along International Border and LoC.
BJP confirmed its vote bank and border people has large share in victory of Narendra Modi and later on in the victory of state BJP. BJP won both parliamentary and assembly election but left people on their own and allegedly betrayed with innocent and frustrated people. People used to migrate to camps in previous cross border firings and they are remain on same wheel of fortune in the era of BJP.
Soma Devi, a local said,"60 years have gone in terror of cross border firing but this time People of village Rutha have decided to remain stay at village, help security forces," and added that people could not leave houses, agricultural land, live-stocks, assets etc in frequent tension along IB. She alleged that District administration accommodated border people in schools at Marheen and Hiranagar wherein everyone treated people as burden and sub-standard facilities are being provided so People decided to remain stay at village than facing miserable condition in camps.
Gulshan Kumar , a local said," Especially children & minors have been sunken whereas youth guard the village throughout nights in terror of cross border firing that can be opened any time." He said ,"Government made tall claims for 5 marlas plots in safer place, bunkers, toilets, road connectivity but nothing has been done till day and leave people on their own. Nirmal Singh, a student said," Closing of schools during tensed situation affects academic percentage resulting deprive of admission in good institutions due to less percentage." Like other villagers, he also appealed that Government should find permanent solution and allotted 5 marlas plot in safer place. Singh said, " Union government allocates crores of rupees under BADP centered sponsored schemes meant for development of area falling 5 km of IB but people still live in miserable condition without sufficient facility," and added that nobody knew where the funds were being utilized.
