BDFC asks Govt to constituent Shrine Board for Bawe Wali Mata | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 4: Bahu Fort Development Committee (BFDC) has reiterated its stand on establishment of Shrine Board for Bawe Wali Mata temple shrine. In a statement, Rajeev Charak President BFDC said rued over negligence and ignorance of the Government towards the holy shrine which is commonly known as Bawe Wali Mata situated at Bahu Fort Jammu. He said that the Bahu Fort is perhaps the oldest fort and edifice in the city, constructed originally by Raja Bahulochan over 3,000 years ago, the existing fort was improved and rebuilt by Dogra rulers. There is a Temple dedicated to the Goddess Kali inside the fort popularly known as Bawe Wali Mata. Heavy rush of devotees is witnessed daily at the famous Bawa Wali Mata Temple, Bahu Fort. In Navratri festival and during Tuesday and Sundays pilgrims throng this temple to worship beloved deity. But unfortunately, we have to say shamelessly that the management of the Temple is in wrong hands, they misuse all the offerings by the pilgrims. While adding, Rajeev Charak said, Government should issue a White Paper and give reasons why they are hesitating to constitute Shrine Board for temple" |
