Sports stadium mismanagement of exposed 10/4/2016 11:38:44 PM Rajesh Tandon Early Times Report Poonch, Oct 4: Poonch is blessed with huge sports talent but lack of vision and failure of those at helm in sports stadium Poonch is enough in spoiling the future of the youngsters who are joining sports activities to make a career in sports field. Few months back, a PWD contract of leveling the ground was given to a contractor and everybody knows that a poor quality work was carried out and possibility of hand in glove relation of those at helm with contractor doesn't rule out because the ground is still uneven from many places but no hue and cry was made over the poor quality ground leveling work and it indicates towards a foul play. Another project of Indoor sports complex was started way back and still incomplete. One more project of boxing ring was started years ago and that project is still incomplete. There is a big question mark on those who are looking after the said ground as people are asking question over their vision and said that when other projects are still incomplete then what is the need of starting more projects as it is wastage of public money. They questioned the role of PWD Department for not completing several projects on time. They said that new projects are going on without any vision because no body is looking towards the beautification and parking aspects of the ground and haphazard decisions are being implemented. They sought reply of XeN PWD Poonch for giving step motherly treatment to sports stadium Poonch. The other day, Dy. Chairman Legislative council also visited the sports stadium and questioned the vision of sports council and PWD. He passed the instructions that firstly the incomplete projects be taken on priority and then take new projects in hand.
