MGNREGA workers rue non-payment of wages 10/4/2016 11:38:50 PM Rajesh Tandon Early Times Report Jammu, Oct 4: The persons who executed the works under MGNREGA expressed their resentments regarding non payments of their wages by the deptt. This reporter has been told that the various works has been executed and completed in all respects by the person but the department failed to release the amount of wages in their favour. The reliable sources told the reporter that the deptt is deliberately delaying in releasing the wages of the persons. Mean while talking to media persons Mohd Javid ,Sunil Sharma, Mohd Jhangir Khan, Javid Ahmed and others told the Early Times that an inquiry is required to be initiated in this regard so that truth comes before the public. They urged the District Development Commissioner Poonch to intitiate enquiry from 2014 to 2017 regarding nonpayment of wages under MGNREGA to the persons who executed the works and the employees of the deptt be put to task at an earliest and in the interest of justice Assistance Commissioner Development Poonch in this regard on questioning by our sources answered that the higher authorities just not sanctioned the funds under MGNREGA for the economic years 2015-2016 and 2016-2017.
