Early Times Report

Jammu, Oct 4: Expressing strong indignation over the reign of terror let loose by the BJP goons working under the tutelage of local BJP MLA in Ramnagar, Harsh Dev Singh Chairman JKNPP and Former Minister and Balwant Singh Mankotia State President alongwith hundreds of Panthers Party workers held a massive demonstration outside SSP Office Udhampur and expressed their grave concern over deteriorating law and order in Ramnagar with BJP goons and criminals openly assaulting intimidating and threatening innocent people. The two leaders flanked by Bishan Dass and Sandeep Singh who were brutally assaulted recently sought immediate arrest of the culprits including the conspirators and stringent action against them under law at the earliest. While addressing the media, Harsh Dev Singh sought an enquiry into the criminal antecedents of MLA Ramnagar and recruitment of certain notorious elements and criminals by him into his party fold so as to hurt, harass and intimidate the innocent people of the constituency.
He said that several innocent people who were victimized by criminal elements had stated that the attackers were the cronies of MLA who had themselves confessed to be MLAs men. He said that the last 20 months had witnessed enhanced crime rate in Ramnagar with several murders left unproved due to political pressures. He said the local police had been influenced and the criminals and suspected murderers allowed immunity due to their political clout. Alleging that law and order in Ramnagar had become hostage to the whims of local MLA, he sought appropriate legal action against.
