Jammu, Oct 4: A jail inmate facing rape charges, who was admitted in Government Medical College and Hospital (GMC&H) Jammu after he fell ill, succumbed last late night. Police sources said, "Identified as Bijjan s/o Cheru of Birnoo, district Udhampur, presently lodged at Ambphalla Jail in a case under section 376 of RPC fell ill on October 3 and was shifted to Govt Medical College and Hospital (GMC&H) Jammu." "During his treatment the sick jail inmate failed to respond to treatment late night, sources said.
Thereafter Police shifted the body to the mortuary for post-mortem and other legal formalities. |
