Rich tributes paid to soldier martyred in Pak firing in Kashmir | | | Early Times Report
Srinagar, Nov 13: Army today paid rich tributes to a soldier who was martyred after Pakistani troops violated ceasefire and resorted to unprovoked firing and shelling, targeting forward Indian positions on the Line of Control (LoC) in Keran Sector in the frontier district of Kupwara in Jammu and Kashmir. Pakistani troops also targeted a number of civilian villages damaging a number of houses in the sector. A soldier Harsit Bhadouria was critically wounded when he was hit by a bullet on November 11 evening. However, he later succumbed to injuries. The mortal remains of Bhadouria was flown from Keran to headquarters of 15 Corps at Badami Bagh Cantonment, where homage was paid to martyr soldier. Senior Army officers and other ranks also joined to pay floral tributes to Bhadouria. The mortal remains of Bhadouriya will be flown to his native place for last rites. Residents of Keran said several houses were damaged in Pak shelling on November 11 night in several villages near the LoC. Residents of these villages have taken shelter in safe places. Pakistani troops also violated ceasefire and targeted forward posts in Machil sector on November 9 when a soldier died. |
