Swachh Bharat Abhiyan; a misnomer in Chenab valley, no cleanliness drive launched during 2016 11/14/2016 12:13:57 AM Early Times Report Kishtwar, Nov 13: Tall claims made by central state government to make India neat and clean under centrally sponsored scheme 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan' had only became name in Chenab valley and in Kishtwar district no drive was launched in year 2016 as Kishtwar , valley of saffron is missing its shine with every passing day due to careless and pathetic attitude of Kishtwar development authorities. The Prime Minister's flagship scheme 'Swacch Bharat Abhiyaan' is totally unimplemented in chenab valley and its adjoining areas where parks , footpaths, lane drains are in deteriorated condition and causing hazards to society. Through this centrally sponsored scheme meant to only papers as lacs of rupees are withdrawn for cleanliness of parks and others. It is unfortunate that historic Chowgan Ground Kishtwar, Devigoal Bunjwah which is full of garbage and no one is bothered to take care of such historic places . It is pertinent to mention here that Batote Kishtwar National Highway is also passing from its one side and everyone passing through this road have to face these bad smell of dumped garbage and such thing gives bad name to the town. Nasir Shafi local resident said that we can't understand why the authorities are not taking any step to clean historic places but there is something foul play. Local demanded an enquiry into the amount being drawn under Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, which may be misused by the concerned authorities. Meanwhile many organizations and locals also expressed their concern over the deteriorating condition of historical places and demanded to the district administration and state government to immediately clean historic parks at an earliest so as public shall take sigh of relief.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
