Sainik School wins 'State Level Painting Competition' | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 24: Two cadets from Sainik School Nagrota brought laurels to the school by winning the second state level painting competition in a row this month organized this time on the theme "Save Water, Save the earth" by Central Ground Water Board in Jammu. Cadet Ashutosh Kumar of Class VII from the school won the Secon prize which carried a cash award of Rs 3000 while Cadet Siddharth Verma of the same class bagged the consolation prize of Rs 1000 in this state level competition in all leading schools of the state participated. Colonel Kapil Dev Kaushal, Principal complimented the cadets for their remarkable achievement and commended the guidance and motivation extended to the cadets by RS Dayal, Art Master of the school. Besides, the principal also mentioned that the recent initiatives undertaken by the school to unleash the pool of talent available among the cadets have started yielding desired results in all the spheres of competitions. It must be noted that the cadets of the school proved their mettle and won the Jammu Olympics and also state and national level competitions this year.
