Early Times Report Jammu, Nov 24: To highlight their demands, especially the enhancement of their salary at par with Punjab Home Guards, a delegation of All Jammu and Kashmir Home Guard Association met Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh and apprised him with their long pending issues. In a press conference held here today, Smt Kamla Sharma the President All J&K Home Guards Welfare Association said that a delegation of the Association along with one Nodal officer (IAS) has called on to Home Minister Raj Nath Singh and apprised him with the long pending issues of home guards. She said, "A detailed discussion was held with the union Minister and during which senior officer of the PM Office assured the delegation that a Committee will be formed to take stock of grievances of Home Guards and assured matter will be taken up with the state Govt/administration. "Delegation also raised the issue that Supreme Court of India has issued directions for welfare of Home Guards and the same have been implemented in some other states, like Punjab, HP,UP, Harayana, Rajastan MP and West Bengal but the state government yet has to implement Smt Sharma further added that Vice President of BJP Central) Unit Sham Jaju who led us to Pushpendra Ji Maharaja also assured the delegation that the matter will taken with the concerned spheres. She also had made a fervent appeal to the Chief Minister Mehboba Mufti to issue kind orders to the concern Department to implement the orders of Apex Court bringing the Home Guards in state at par with other states who are enjoying the benefits. Santosh Kumari, Darshana Devi, Skina Devi, Gopal Dass Kaüash Devi Varinder Singh, Sobha singh, Pawan Kumar, Krishan Lal, Bashir Ahmed, Riaz Ahmed, Kamla Sharma President All J&K Home Guards Welfare association also addressed the occasion. |
