ET Impact: Govt revokes attachment order of BLW | | | Early Times Report
Rajouri, Nov 24: Prompted by Early Times news report that a minister has a got an "influential" Block Level Worker BLW "attached" to a favorable posting, the government has revoked the orders. Official documents, a copy of which lies with Early Times reveal that the Assistant Commissioner Development Rajauri vide an order No ACCDR/VLW/2016-17/7262/63 issued the orders for detachment. "In the interest of Government Work, (name withheld) Block Level Worker Block Kalakote attached in Block Sunderbani vide his order No ACDR/VLW/201617/3857-60 dated 09-08-2016 is hereby detached and directed to report to the Block Development Officer Kalakote for further duties with immediate effect," the order reads. There were only five BLWs working in Kalakote while four such posts out of the total of nine were vacant. However instead to taking measures to fill the vacancies in the tehsil, the minister had got one of the BLWs transferred to a more "favorable posting." The villagers had resented the "illegal transfer." Meanwhile they hailed the revocation of attachment orders hoping that government will ensure proper development in the Kalakote area. |
