| JFI condemns Mehbooba’s move to change demography of Jammu province | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 24: Jammu for India condemns Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti's mischievous direction to the administration to allow encroachment of Forest and State land and also tears into the State BJP for its criminal silence.
Speaking at a press conference Prof. Hari Om, convenor JFI said, all of us are highly disturbed by the intervention of the Chief Minister advising the Government not to act against encroachers of the Forest & State land in the province of Jammu particularly in the districts of Jammu, Samba and Kathua.
He said that after the passing of sinister Roshni Act, the Chief Minister's intervention directing the Deputy Commissioners of Jammu province not to dislocate the encroachers of Forest and State land in Jammu province, it is manifestedly clear that an insidious influence is at work to change the demographic character of Jammu province. After studying the problem of demographic change in all its detail, we are convinced that anti-national and communal forces are operating through the aegis of successive State Governments to change the demographic character of Jammu province, which has dangerous ramifications, said Prof. Hari Om.
"JFI warns the government not to do anything wittingly or unwittingly which disturbs the age old communal harmony in Jammu province and desist from injecting communal virus into the polity of Jammu province", he said adding, "We are particularly intrigued that the BJP leaders acted as silent collaborators while PDP is doing everything and anything to accelerate the assault on the demographic character of Jammu province.
How could the Chief Minister adopt a brazenly communal approach and decide who is the culprit and who is not in the land grabbing campaign in Jammu and also decide who should be dislocated and who should be allowed to stay put on the encroached lands, said Dr. Ajay Chrungoo.
The seditious turmoil in Kashmir valley is still far from having abated and the government has started its malafide activities to infect Jammu with seditious and communal ferment, he said. We urge the Govt to allow the administration to get vacated all encroached lands without being selective or biased against anyone. it is very crucial that at a juncture when Pakistan is waging a war against our Nation particularly targeting Jammu & Kashmir, all measures which have a import of breeding subversion and unrest should be stopped forthwith. People of Jammu warn the Government that they will not allow the land of Jammu to be fraudulently usurped for communal and ulterior purposes. We are determined to sacrifice the integrity of the historic Jammu province. Dheeraj Pargal, Pushvinder Manhas, Rajesh Dutta, Ajatshatru Singh were also present. |
