Traffic Police launches drive against violators | | | Early Times Report
Vijaypur Nov 25: Continuing with its efforts to streamline traffic mess, Traffic Police today challaned over 35 traffic law violators for violating various norms including for not wearing helmet, without driving belt, using mobile phones etc. According to official spokesperson, Traffic Police under the supervision of Basant Sharma SP Traffic (Rural) Jasbir Singh - DySP, Tarsem Lal Sharma -DTI Samba, Dawarka Nath ASI started the drive to take action against the violators of the traffic rules. The drive has been initiated in view of public complaints, grievances and the quantum of traffic violations committed by passenger service vehicle and by the private transport. The traffic police laid nakkas at different places within district Samba and challaned over 35 violators who were not wearing helmets and driving belt etc. SP (Rural) Traffic disclosed that the drive was aimed to aware the people about maintaining the traffic rules so that the precious lives can be saved. He said drive was also focused to check overloading, intermittent obstructive stops, misbehaviour, non availability of services at late hours and other route violations. The drive shall continue against the errant public service transport operators and drivers to ensure convenience to the general public. |
