Jammu, Nov 25: A Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) has approached the Police Headquarters with the request to shift Inspectors of his choice to the district so that he could further post them as SHOs.
He was posted as district SP in the recent past with the help of a minister. Though he had started all his operations in the district, he was not having any close coordination with most of the SHOs, sources said.
"He wants his own men to be posted as SHOs under him so that he can work with them with ease," sources said adding that he had already started an exercise in this regard.
He had given to the PHQ a list of Inspectors, who were either posted in other districts or in other police wings. "He has told his links at the PHQ to shift the Inspectors, whose names are there in the list, to his district within one month. He has, however, told them that he immediately wants his men to head two important police stations in the district," sources said.
"It is known to all in the state police circles that he likes to work only with the SHOs of his choice. This time, he has used his links at the PHQ to get SHOs of his choice and is hopeful of getting them soon," the sources added. |
