3 killed as vehicle falls into gorge at Banihal | | | Early Times Report
Banihal, Nov 25: Three employees of AFCON Company were killed including the driver of a vehicle in Hingni area of Banihal when a camper (Utility) vehicle skidded off the road and fell down in a 250 feet deep gorge. Police reports said that the incident took place when a vehicle camper bearing registration number JK19- 4152 engaged with the construction work of railway tunnel number 49 of AFCON company fell down from the road and resulting the death of two persons on spot where driver of the vehicle succumbed to his injuries while shifting in Banihal hospital. The died were identified as Ashok Kumar electrician R/o Atholi Pader Kishtwar, Irshad Ahmed Khan Shortcrete operator R/O Thatri Kishtwar and driver of the vehicle Ab Gani R/o Hingni Banihal. Reports said that the incident took place on a approach road of railway tunnel when this vehicle was on way to store in construction site of railway tunnel number 49 of AFCON company and skipped off road and fell down on same road which resulted the death of three company employees. After the incident the two dead bodies were shifted to Ramsoo hospital and the injured driver of the vehicle immediately shifted to emergency hospital Banihal where the driver succumbed to his injuries during shifting in hospital. Police have registered a case under FIR number 98/2016 u/s 279/337/304 in this connection at police Station Ramsoo and starts the investigations. |
