Jammu, Nov 25:Excise Department Jammu conducted raids and destroyed 550 Kg Lahan, 12 bottles and 52 pouches of illicit liquor. The Excise Department Jammu has tightened its noose on violators of the various provisions of the J&K Excise Act in entire Jammu division. The drive was under the active supervision of the Deputy Excise Commissioner (Executive), Jammu Mohammed Shahid Saleem, the Excise Team Kathua led by Arun Kumar inspector Excise under the command of Excise and Taxation Officer, Excise Range Kathua, Sandeep Gupta raided the Padyari, Budhi, Muthikhurd,Dharal and Khokhayal areas of Kathua district to arrest the menace of illicit distillation of liquor.
In the process more than 505 kilograms of Lahan and 12 bottles and 52 pouches of illicit liquor which was later destroyed by the team on spot. |
